0n Justice (and deserving)

This essay is for those who are tired of analytical political philosophy having so incredibly little to say about what real people in real circumstances can do to be deserving.

We are children of the big bang.  We are outcomes of processes of nature and nurture.  Somehow these things are seen as reasons to be skeptical about the whole idea of there being anything we can do to be deserving.

The basic move: There is such a thing as deserving a chance. It is not a variation on the theme of deserving a reward but is instead something quite different.
