Carolina Sartorio
Associate Professor of Philosophy

Carolina Sartorio was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1972. She received her BA in Philosophy from the University of Buenos Aires in 1996, and her PhD in Philosophy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2003. She taught at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, between 2003 and 2009, and since 2009 she is Associate Professor of Philosophy at the University of Arizona. She joined the Center for the Philosophy of Freedom in 2014. She works in metaphysics, the philosophy of action, and ethics. She is the author of Causation and Free Will (Oxford University Press, 2016), as well as several articles on topics such as causation, moral responsibility, agency, and free will.
